Duck smashes into hospital helicopter, which safely makes a quick landing
A wood duck slammed into a LifeFlight Eagle helicopter 2,000 feet up in the air Wednesday night, breaking out a large section of windshield. Flight paramedic Kent Shutt heard a loud pop, then felt air rushing through the aircraft as it flew about 150 mph through the dark sky above the eastern edge of Kansas City.
