Toilet Seat – Up or Down?

I have a question that I reckon is a honest one, but seldom do we ‘guys’ get the ‘honest’ answer. So gals, can you give us a honest, honest based answer to us?
You all tell us to ‘place the seat down afterwards’. Well, if there is a female(s) in the house, We have to ‘lift’ it Every time(you really wouldn’t want us to leave it down would you?), ….Then why can not the ladies make the Same effort to ‘place it Down for themselves’???
You ‘demand’ that we fellows ‘make the effort’ to remember to place it down – PLEASE tell me the difference, and Why is it suppose to be our responsibility to place it down.
Please don’t use the excuse that ‘the cold rim is very uncomfortable’. …we can know that – but just as we guys ‘learn’ to place it up because sometimes our aim is not so fantastic, you ladies likewise can ‘learn’ to always check to see if it is up or down – if should take too many times of unexpectedly ‘finding’ the cold rim before it becomes second nature.
Please reckon about it and provide an honest response.
I Know this is Not an earth stopping question, but one that I, and most guys, have tried to question and get across the logic of to ‘all the women in my life’ – per the country singer. : ) !

Trying leaving it down all the time.
Sit when you pee, no splatter and the base of the toilet and under the seat will stay cleaner as well. No one will know your a setter unless you leave the door open anyways. Settles the arguement completely… it’s just cleaner to pee setting down than standing and splashing or missing altergether as some men do.
Hope this helps!
It’s not the convenience, it’s that the seat is more visibly pleasing when it’s down. Women, as a whole, are obsessed with the way the house looks. So, even if we did have to place the seat up for something, we’d probably place it down again because the toilet just looks prettier that way.
I’m sure you reckon that we’re retards for being so anal about the ascetic appeal of the thing that we defecate in, but that’s just how we’re wired.
I, personally, insist that the lid itself is closed before people flush… becuase you know that mist of pissy water that comes up when you flush? I don’t want that floating through the air and onto my toothbrush. Yikes!
So, everyone in our house has to do something. Men have to lift the entire thing. Women have to lift the lid. I reckon that’s honest. =)
i have never, ever told a man to place the seat down. i don’t care about it. it’s such a tiny insignificant thing! who cares! like using the bathroom is such a huge part of life. i’ve never understood why some women complain about this
The seat gets very yucky being up. I despise seeing all the dried pee on the rim on the toilet. Plus, if I forget and sit on it, it’s very yucky…then I smell like pee.
Certainly it needs to be down.
It looks better down, but we just finally did away with the lid , if you get those seats like they have in public restrooms that are divided in the front, there will be no drips on the seat. And no one has to place it up or down. problem solved. Works for us.
